I am connected, but until we change some security and privacy settings I will NOT see nor control your machine.

Generally, you'll be prompted to open the Security and Privacy Panel > Privacy Tab automatically - but if you click out of the prompt you'll need to follow these steps:

Step 1 - Apple Menu > System Preferences > Security and Privacy

Step 2 - Within the Security and Privacy system pref > select the Privacy Tab across the top

Step 3 - Click the lock in the lower corner and authenticate

Step 4 - Scroll on the left column to find Accessibility and select it > check the box next to ConnectWise -or- screenconnect-

Step 5 - On macOS Catalina (10.15 or higher) Scroll further down on the left column to find Screen Recording > and again check the box next to ConnectWise -or- screenconnect- and when prompted to Quit Now or Later > choose Later

This all assumes you have the app downloaded and running.  Note:  Chrome may present the warning of:  not commonly downloaded and may be dangerous and propose you discard.  Instead, look for the arrow icon pointing up and choose to keep.  The open the downloaded app and confirm.
